1 Peter 3:8-9

verse 9 – THINGS JESUS WANTS YOU TO DO

-this is referring to the will of God

-we must surrender to the will of the Lord

-it is a choice to surrender or say no to Jesus and His will

-Rev 3:20 and Exodus 3

              Some Things Jesus Wants You To Do

(1.) JESUS WANTS US TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE – V8

ONE MIND – IT MEANS TO EXPRESS THE SAME THOUGHT…TO COOPERATE

-The church must be on the same page as the Pastor is on

-The church must be on the same page and have one mind doctrinally

—having one mind speaks of unity

—no division allowed – Prov 6:16-19

-1 Peter 3:10 – only say things that bring life and unity

a. unity is not uniformity – believers have different tastes is colors, food and music

b. Unity is based on Jesus and His cause

-the cross, burial and resurrection

-the great commission

(2.) JESUS WANTS US TO LIVE FOR HIM – v12

Why ? Because the eyes of the Lord are on every believer 24/7/365

-this motivates us to live for Jesus Christ…….

-we cannot hide anything from the Lord

Example:  Exodus 2:11-15 and Joshua 7:1, 19-21

(3.) JESUS WANTS US TO PRAY – verse 12

-the Lords’ ears are open to the prayers of the righteous

-the righteous are those believers who are living for the Lord

-the Lord doe snot have to answer the prayers of believers who live in sin

Psalm 66:18

Proverbs 1:28-29

2 Chronicles 7:14 – the Lord does answer the prayers of the righteous

***This motivates believers to live for Jesus so our prayers will be answered…

Then:  The Lord will answer our prayers and move in a great way on our behalf

Prayer produces divine intervention….
