Peter rebukes Jesus for saying He was going to die and leave the disciples.
a. Peter was trying to stop the plan of God from being fulfilled which was the cross
Rebuke – means to sternly warn…reprimand…criticize
-Jesus rebukes Peter but understands He was fighting against Satan himself
-There is an invisible world that is real.
-Jesus recognized the existence of satan, demons, and evil – not everything is demonic
How Do We And Get Maintain Victory Over The Enemy?
1. Know the enemy is defeated
2. Get your mouth aligned with the Word of God
3. Do not Lose Your Fight
4. Do not be involved in the Occult
(5) BE A VOICE – Matthew 3:1-11
-being a voice is sharing our faith with people about Jesus
-this brings people out of darkness and into light – changes lives which changes cities
***Colossians 1:13-14 – transferred from darkness to light
John The Baptist
1. We must realize that we are living in a spiritual wilderness
-we live in a dry land spiritually
2. John lived during the time of the coming of the Lord
-the first coming of Jesus
-we are living during the second coming of Jesus Christ
-we must declare it – get people ready for His coming
3. We must be a voice in the culture
-almost the entire book of Acts is outdoors
-we must be a voice in the culture because
1. we have the answer
2. there is only one thing we can’t do in heaven – witness
*witness everywhere and to everyone – Luke 9:1-6
*everyone has a testimony
Why Be A Voice?
1. It is the Lord’s last words before He ascends – last words can be very important in a person’s life
-Matthew 28:18-20
2. 600,000 people die daily
3. We have the only answer for eternity – Eccl 3:11
4. We will give an account of our time and lives to Jesus – Romans 14:9-12
(6) KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST – Ephesians 1:3-4, 7
-We have a who – who we are in Jesus Christ
-We have a do – our behavior and works
*Immediately at salvation we receive all the spiritual blessings that are in Jesus Christ
*We still don’t always do right even though we are saved – Romans 7:15
-we still have victory over the enemy
-the enemy accuses us when we sin – Revelation 12:9-11
How do we conquer these accusations?
1. by the blood of the Lamb – we are still in Christ when we sin and when the enemy accuses us of our sins
2. Our declaration and testimony – remind the enemy of his final destination and what you have done right
(7) SUBMIT YOURSELF TO GOD – James 4:7
-this is personal obedience to the Lord
Personal obedience is”
-to the Word of God
-to the voice of God
-we were once disobedient and children of the enemy – Eph 2:1-3
-since being saved we are obedient children of God – 1 Peter 1:14
-the enemy has to flee when we submit to God but when we are like Him, he does not have to leave and we join his purpose and plan – 1 Samuel 15:23…

-as we spend time with the lord every day, we become strong in the lord and can push back the enemy
