The antichrist – Revelation 13

1. The description of the antichrist – Rev 13:1-3

verse 1 – sand of the sea – represents humanity –
-the antichrist is a man
-antichrist – means opposed to and against Jesus and Christianity
-beast – means to be ferocious, dangerous, savage and aggressive
-the 7 heads, crowns and ten horns represent a group of nations he will rule
-there will be a one world government which will rule the world

2. The antichrist is demon possessed – Revelation 13:2

verse 2 – the dragon (satan) gives him his power
-the antichrist will use two things to gain and keep power
                    1. PEACE – 1 Thess 5:3 and Rev 6:1-3
-the antichrist arrives as a man of peace
-a peace accord will happen between Israel & their enemies
                    2. WORDS – Revelation 13:5-6
-the antichrist will be charismatic in his personality and wow the crowds
-test peoples words and doctrine – 1 John 4:1

3. The antichrist uses economic pressure to make disciples – Rev 13:16-18

verse 18 – the #666 represents humanity as imperfect and ungodly people
verse 16 – Mark – means a brand/to stamp or engrave/
-the mark is a sign of allegiance
verse 17 – only those with the mark will be able to purchase and buy items
-this system is already forming

4. The delay of the antichrist – 2 Thess 2:1-12

-the day of the Lord has not arrived yet
-the church and prayer are holding back the antichrist from appearing
THE DEVIL WILL TRY TO STOP YOU FROM PRAYING BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT PRAYER STOPS HIM…..
-the enemy will attempt to hinder us from praying – 1 Thess 2:18

5. The diabolical partner of the antichrist – Revelation 13:11-18

-the antichrist system uses religion to reach people
-it will be someone who embraces all faiths together in one pot
-it will be someone who points to a person to follow and worship
-it is someone who only uses the word God
-it is someone who is a counterfeiter
