8 POWERFUL WORDS
1 Peter 4:7
THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND
End – means a conclusion or termination of something
– This refers to the conclusion of this world as we know it because everything will change when Jesus returns
At Hand – means to be next door/something is so close that you can feel it
– The return of the Lord will happen
Jesus is the God of the I WILLS – John 14:1-3 – I will come again
The end of all things is at hand is the last days – Acts 2:17
There are 4 Looks when it comes to the return of Jesus Christ
Look to Jesus – the last days are all about Jesus
Look in – allow the Lord to change you as His return gets closer and closer
Look out – It’s harvest time
Look up – when you see the signs manifesting together, look up, for the return of the Lord is close
Matthew 24:36-47
Verse 36 – only the Father knows when the return of the Son is coming
Verses 37-39 – the return of Jesus is compared to the days of Noah
2 Points On Noah’s Flood & The Return of Jesus
– Matthew 7:13-14 & Genesis 6:1-14a
1. Noah’s time reveals the patience of God
– The Lord gave Noah’s culture 120 years to repent
2. The Culture ignored the signs revealing that the judgment of God is coming
– Genesis 6:1-14a
– Do not ignore today’s signs that Jesus is returning soon
Matthew 24:42-44
– Be alert and stay awake spiritually
– Just as we are prepared for a thief to come, we must be prepared for Jesus to come
Verses 45-47 – Each believer has gifts from Jesus. Use them as you wait for His return
1 Peter 4:2-4
-Run away from sin, evil, and our old life, and run to Jesus and do His will
-People, family, and friends will think we are crazy and weird
