8 POWERFUL WORDS

Verse 7 – BUT – MEANS BUT NOW

After giving 6 verses, Peter says, Now I have 8 powerful words for you

THE END – means the conclusion/the final act/the ultimate end

– This refers to the return of Jesus Christ

– It refers to a piece of fruit that is ripening

-REMEMBER: The end of something is the beginning of something

When Jesus returns, things will change

At Hand – something very near/right next door/you can feel it

– extra closeness

– it refers to getting everything into position so a breakthrough can happen – Revelation 19:10-18

– John 14:1-3 & Acts 1:9-11

– It is a promise

– Matthew 24:36-47

-The Lord’s return will happen, so do not be a scoffer or mocker – this means to be a skeptic/ridicule/make fun of – 2 Peter 3:1-10

-The Lord is patient and waiting for a lot of people to be saved

WE WILL REALIZE THAT THE END OF ALL THINGS HAS COME BECAUSE EVERYTHING AROUND US WILL BE SHAKEN

– Haggai 2:1-9, 20-21

Verse 1 – we all need a word from the Lord in these last days

Verse 2 – Christianity & the government partnering together to get things done

Verse 3 – the old temple was destroyed by the Babylonians, and a new temple was being built

-The rebuilt temple was different, and the people did not like the change

-When the Lord moves, we must move with Him

Verse 4 – Here are some words from the Lord:

– Be Strong

– Serve

– Presence

Verse 5 – Do not fear

-DO IT AFRAID

Verse 6 – The Lord is going to shake everything – Means to tremble and panic

1. To shake up and wake up the church

2. To bring people to Jesus – Verse 7

– The desire of all nations is Jesus Christ

3. To provide the presence of God, which is the glory of God – Verses 7-9

– When the shaking comes, we will see the manifestation of the glory of God, which will sustain us.

– Jesus and His glory make a difference
