HEALING
1 Peter 2:21-25
1.) WATCH OUT FOR THE PURSUIT OF THE IMMEDIATE
– Mark 8:22-25
-this healing took place in stages
-Christianity and Jesus do not guarantee something to happen quickly
-Healings take time
So what are we going to do while we wait for our healing?
1. WAIT WELL
– We will continue to follow Jesus/serve Him
2. BELIEVE
– Mark 9:23 / Luke 8:5 / John 11:40
– Believe means to hold a strong conviction about something / to know something is true
3. CONQUER TIME
– Galatians 6:9
– At the right time, you will receive your breakthrough
2.) THERE IS A BALANCE IN HEALING
– 1 Peter 2:24-25 & Ex 15:26
-Are you holding on to God’s promise or the problem?
2 Points:
1.) DO NOT DENY YOUR PROBLEM, BUT DON’T ALWAYS EMPHASIZE IT
2.) DO NOT DENY YOUR PROBLEM, BUT ALSO TALK ABOUT YOUR PROMISE
3.) HEALING IS WORK
– Philippians 2:12-14
Work out – means to complete the process
– The process is Jesus, effort, determination, and discipline
– The Lord will do what He does, and the believer must do what they can do to receive a healing
