Following His Lead

Acts Chapter 16

Proverbs 16:9 — “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

Act 16:1-10

Point 1- God sometimes leads through dreams and visions

God will never tell you something through someone else that he won’t tell you Himself.

Acts 16: 10-18

Point 2- God often leads us with closed doors and redirection

When a door closes, we should discern if it is the enemy or if it is God. Don’t just push through.

Acts 16:20-24

Point 3- Obedience to the will of God will often be followed by spiritual backlash

Gift of discernment: knowing if it is God or not.

Acts 16:25-34

Point 4- God’s will can lead us into suffering

There was purpose in the suffering.

If Paul and Silas had not gone to prison, there would have never been that Miracle that led so many to Jesus.

When going through a time of suffering… Stay focused on the assignment!
