Some Bible Principles that we can Learn from Zechariah for the Body of Christ

Zechariah 11:1 & 12:1-4

-We must have a sense of urgency as Jesus is coming back soon

-Signs reveal to us that Jesus is coming back quickly – Luke 21:7-12, 25-28

v11 – plagues and viruses

vs12-19 – Hatred of Israel

v25- dismayed & perplexed – affordability & Inflation issues

v8 – false and wrong teaching – Zech 11:1-3, 8, 17 & 12:1-4

***Be On Guard ——- 2 Tim 4:1-5 & Matt 24:1-5, 11, 24-25

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit – Zech 11:1 – Open up the doors of the temple

***Allow the Holy Spirit to move – Rev 3:20

One of the last days Events – The Battle of Armageddon – Zech 12:1-3

Zechariah 12:1 – The Lord gives a word to the body of Christ and the world

Burden – means a crushing weight of judgment – the judgment of God will come against every enemy of Israel

The judgment of God is not for the church – Romans 5:9…1 Thess 5:19…1 Thess 1:10

Zechariah 12:1 – The Judge is The Creator

-The Lord created the Earth, the universe, and all humans

Zechariah 12:2 – The Lord is speaking and declaring – Armageddon is coming

       I AM GOING TO……bring the nations of the world against Israel & defeat them

                             The Battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:13-16

1. Armageddon is a cup – Zechariah 12:2

The word cup represents trouble and tribulation and God’s judgment.  The word cup speaks of being shaken.  Israel’s enemies will be shaken, stagger & then fall and will be defeated

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ occurs at the conclusion of the Battle of Armageddon…Revelation 19:10-19…Jesus defeats Israel’s enemies…….

doomed to slaughter – refers to going through hard times

   We will make it through hard times because of the Bible

Every church must discover the Word of God again – too many things can crowd it out – 2 Kings 22:1-16

***God wrote the Word – 1 Peter 1:20-21

-The Bible is God breathed – not stories, but scriptures

-We cannot improve the Word, but His Word can improve us

***The Word of God never returns void – Isaiah 55:11

-it is always moving and working and touching and saving

***The Word is a Source of Healing – Prov 4:20-22

-You can send the Word to others at a distance for healing to occur – Matthew 8:5-13

-Healing is a process
