Sermon Notes 9/11 – Let Go (Surrender)
Let Go (Surrender)
Psalm 23
1. Learn to Be Content
When life feels like it’s crumbling, our first instinct is often to complain or rehearse how bad things are. But when our dependence is fully on Christ, we learn to be content no matter the circumstance.
“Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I am, to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”- Philippians 4:11–13
Contentment is learned. It doesn’t come naturally, it comes from surrendering to Jesus(15 sec salvation commercial)
2. The Pressure Is Not on You
How many of you would admit that when trials come, you put the pressure on yourself?
That’s one of the enemy’s favorite strategies—convincing us that we’re alone, that it all depends on us.
(Isaiah 53:4-6)The pressure was lifted off you 2,000 years ago at the cross
3. God’s Presence Is With You
God doesn’t just remove the pressure, He walks with you in the trial.
Whenever God gave someone a mission or they faced hardship, His promise wasn’t “You’ve got this.” His promise was “I will be with you.”
God’s presence, the Holy Spirit lives inside each and every believer. Are you saved today?? You got THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVING INSIDE YOU!!!
But here’s the key: you only truly experience His presence when you spend time in His presence.
