FIRE

After Solomon’s reign, Israel was divided into the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah

Throughout the old Testament FIRE represents the presence of the Lord

Mount Carmel = was the ENEMY’S TERRITORY the center of Baal worship

Idols are anything we place before God

They were mixing worship of Baal and the true God together

Impossible odds: Prophets of Baal 450 to 1 Prophet of God

18:24 Then you call on the name of your god and I will call on the name of the Lord and the God who answers by FIRE He is God

Restoration: 18:25 Then Elijah said to all of the people, Come near to me. So all the people came near to him And he REPAIRED the ALTAR OF THE LORD

This is a picture of the grace of the Lord Jesus

The Altar is a place of Commitment or consecration to God KEEP YOUR FIRE BURNING
