Sermon Notes 10/17 – Mark 7

***Two Miracles Occur in Mark 7

1. Casting Out Demons – Mark 7:24-30

2. Healing – Mark 7:31-37

     CASTING OUT A DEMON – Mark 7:24-30

1. No One Is Beyond Salvation – 2 Peter 3:8-9

-The Lord desires everyone to be saved

-The Great Commission – Matthew 28:18-20

2. Share the Gospel – 2 Tim 4:5 & 1 Cor 15:1-3 & Mark 7:26-28

-the children represent Israel – Jesus came for the Jewish people first

-little dogs represent the gentiles

-the woman receives Jesus and His plan

            We can learn some things about demons:

1. Demons are real & Exist – vs25,29

-a demon is an evil spirit

-we see their effects

2. Demons have a congregation – Colossians 1:13-14

-their congregation are all unbelievers

3. Believers cannot be demon possessed – Mark 7:25

-1 Cor 3:16 & 1 Cor 6:19-20 – The Holy Spirit lives within us

-Not everything is a demon – Gal 5:16

4. Our Enemy Is The Enemy – Ephesians 6:10-18

-Never make the battle personal

-there is a progression of the enemies aggression – from a serpent, to a lion to a dragon

                   Why is there an Increase in demonic attacks?

1. The devil & his demons know their days are numbered – Matthew 8:28-29

2. Weakness invites aggression – 1 Peter 5:8-9

3. The Lord is up to something

-pray that blinders would be removed from the eyes of unbelievers – 2 Cor 4:4 AND Mark 5:15
