As we continually do great works for the Lord, storms will come against us…Mark 4:35-41

HOW TO HAVE VICTORY IN A STORM

(1.) LISTEN FOR A WORD FROM THE LORD – Mark 4:35 – 5:1
-we will make it to the other side
-no believer is exempt from going through storms – Acts 14:21-22

-Evening – dark times – will come – Mark 4:35
-So praise the Lord – Acts 16:20-31 – Lean into the Lord
-this was an unexpected storm
-stand on the Word of God no matter what

(2.) CONCENTRATE ON THE TRUTH – Mark 4:36-38
-Jesus and His Word are the truth

-v36 – they took Him – means to take alongside and be under their care
-an intense hurricane type of storm arrives and things changed

-there are two things we can learn about the disciples
1. They changed their focus from the Lord to the storm
2. They discovered some things about themselves
-they needed to work on their reactions
-they needed an attitude adjustment

(3.) REALIZE THE ENEMY WAS INVOLVED – MARK 4:39-41
-use your power to rebuke the enemy
-Remember – the devil is working hard to take us out but the Lord is working hard to keep us in…….
