Sermon Notes 3/5 – Paul’s Prayer – Ephesians 1:15-22

THE POWER OF SIGHT – Ephesians 1:17-18

-Open our Spiritual Eyes Lord

(1.) Open our eyes to see Jesus and who He is

-We want to know you Lord – Philippians 3:10 – Typing out the first part of Phil 3:10 would be okay to do – “To know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings”

1. when we see Jesus and know Him we know His resurrection power

          -Jesus can do anything/all things are possible with the Lord

2. when we see Jesus and know Him, we know the fellowship of His sufferings

-these refer to the trials we will go through that are allowed by the Lord

-Luke 24:28-31, 46 – the resurrection power of Jesus & His sufferings go together

(2.) Open our eyes so we can see Jesus & that He cannot be contained

1 Kings 8:27-30

-Christianity, prayer and Jesus cannot be contained

-nothing can stop or contain the Lord moving and prayers being prayed & answered

-prayer can happen any place…at any time…by anyone…

-prayer can happen no matter what situation we find ourselves in

-He is the ALWAYS God

(3.) OPEN OUR EYES SO WE CAN SEE JESUS WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES

2 Kings 6:14-18

-He is the invisible God, but is always working

-Open our eyes Lord to show us that we are not alone…..and Jesus is always working behind the scene
