 Ephesians 1:7-14

-there are many mysteries in the Bible

-the mystery here is the mystery of the church – v9

-Mystery – means something hidden that is now revealed

       John 3:22-36

***The Bridegroom is Jesus Christ

***The Bride is the church

***The Best Man is John the Baptist

(2.) THE SIGN OF THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST – 1 Chronicles 12:32 and Luke 12:54-56

-Luke 12:54-56 talks about weather signs

-there are also last days signs – Matthew 24:6

1. THE GROWING DANGER OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF WAR – Matthew 24:6

-Isaiah 2:4 – war ends when Jesus returns

-Rev 6:7-8 – wars will hurt the population of the earth dramatically

2. THE REVIVAL OF RELIGION – Revelation 19:19-21

-religion started with Cain and Abel – works vs redemption

-2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 & Revelation 13:13-14

            How long will last days deception occur?

***Through using only the name God – Phil 2:5-11

***Through being inclusive without repentance – John 8:1-11

***Through a mixture of Christianity and other faiths

3. AN OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – Joel 2:28-3:2

(3.) WE ARE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT – Ephesians 1:13-14

—The Ephesians trusted in Jesus & the gospel – v13

—The Ephesians believed – totally persuaded & accepted

—They were Sealed by the Holy Spirit – vs13-14

sealed – means to mark with a seal & place a mark on someone

     *this is a down payment we receive at salvation which shows us that we will receive the full amount when we get to heaven
