The Right and Wrong Path

THE RIGHT AND GODLY PATH

*******To get on the right path and stay on the right path….

(1) REALIZE YOU HAVE THE POWER OF CHOICE – Prov 4:1-13
a. God created every person with a free will

b. We all can make right choices
-Pursue Jesus – vs5,13

v5 – Get Wisdom

v7 – Wisdom is the principle thing (Jesus is our priority)

v27 – do no tho off of the right path – keep your blinders on. Focus on Jesus

(2) BE A SELF FEEDER – v4
-Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

-Christians are called sheep in the Bible

-sheep eat every day….graze every day…….they are self feeders

THE WRONG OR EVIL PATH

********HOW TO AVOID THE WRONG ROAD
(1) by knowing what is wrong or evil – VS14-15
-the Word of God let’s us know what is good and what is evil

-the Word of God rules and reigns

1 Cor 6:18-20……Prov 6:16-19…..Col 3:5-10

v15 – Avoid the evil path
———–say no

-we do not have to give in to temptation

-temptation means to solicit one to do evil

REMEMBER: Seriously guard your weak spot in the area of temptation.

(2) WATCH OUT WHO YOU HANG OUT WITH – VS16-19

v16 – people on the wrong road want to take you down

-connect with unbelievers and commune with believers

Who do I hang out with:

1. people who speak only good things – v24

2. people whose eyes are on Jesus – v25

3. people who have their feet on the Rock – vs26-27
-they have a protected walk – there are some places we shall not go to

-they have a planned walk – structure your time and your day
