Philippians How To Live In Victory

***Philippians 1:13b, 1:28, 2:15,17, 4:14

(1.) WE MUST EXPERIENCE A REST REVOLUTION = Philippians 1:9-11

-this is a spiritual rest in Jesus Christ

-we never have to forfeit our peace no matter what happens

            a.) REST IS IN A PERSON – Matthew 11:28

-Rest is ultimately only found in Jesus Christ

                      REMEMBER:

                                  ***Trying to fix things yourself will not work – Prov 3:5-6

                                  ***Quit trying and Start Abiding – John 15

-You cannot bear fruit without the root

-Abide – means to remain/stay/continue

-bearing fruit gets us through uncertain times

              b.) REST IS A PRIORITY – Genesis 1:24-31

-the Lord created man on the 6th day

-the Lord and man rested on the 7th day

-Adam spent time with the Lord to receive the yes or no from Him

(2.) POSSESS UNWAVERING FAITH

Unwavering faith is a dynamic certainty about the Lord & His Word – Phil 1:19,25

a. UNWAVERING FAITH IS FAITH THAT REFUSES TO BE REFUSED – Luke 15:5-13

persistent – means to insist, demand and to be troublesome

***WE NEED TO WANT WHAT HE WANTS***

—We need to also surrender to the sovereignty of God

-If you are disappointed by delay, do not walk away…………Refuse to be refused

b. UNWAVERING FAITH TAKES JESUS @ HIS WORD WITHOUT QUESTION – Numbers 14:1-2, 20-24, 31-35

-Israel received a promise from the Lord about living in the promised land

-Even when there is a bad report, have unwavering faith

-Give voice to the Word

-do not deny your situation.  Change it
