***This is the first miracle that took place in the early church…….

What is a miracle?

—a miracle is an immediate supernatural explosion of Almightiness & dynamite energy that appears unexplainable by the laws of nature

-Miracles are instantaneous…….not everything the Lord does happens immediately

                      Points About Miracles

     1. JESUS CHRIST IS THE MIRACLE WORKER – Acts 3:6, 16

-Jesus performs all miracles

-Jesus can perform any miracle

-Continue to serve the Lord even if He does not perform a miracle for you

-the Lord never changes even when a miracle does not happen

-Jesus performs miracles today – Cessationists – say things like miracles and speaking in tongues have stopped

-personal experience says differently

-the scriptures say differently – 1 Cor 13:1-13

     2. MIRACLES ARE FOR EVERYONE AND BIBLICAL – Acts 3:6-9

-we believe in miracles because they are found throughout the Bible

-miracles are for everyone – even unbelievers – to get them saved…

     3. THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL IS SALVATION – Acts 4:12

            The Gate Beautiful

-was a very big gate – 75′ high and 60′ wide – covered with silver & gold and made out of bronze

-the gate was the entrance to the temple and the presence of the Lord

            Here are some things we can all learn:

1. YOU CAN BE IB A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND POSITION, BUT STILL HAVE AN UGLY PROBLEM

-this man was in a great position and in a beautiful place at the gate

-he had some ugly issues that needed healing

-this speaks about our position in Jesus Christ

-this speaks the love and patience we need to have with people because you can be saved but still have a ton of issues

2. WE NEED TO LEARN THAT OTHERS CAN ONLY CARRY US SO FAR – Acts 3:1-3 (v2)

-the crippled man was carried to thegate every day for around 40 years

-we always had to rely on others, but they only took him so far

-you must have your own personal fellowship time with Jesus so you can move forward

-you cannot ride the coattails of the church, parents or another person

3.  YOU CAN BE SAVED BUT STUCK AT THE GATE  –

-your issues can hinder you from moving forward

-get unstuck

     ***Develop a spirit of expectation

     ***Change
