(1.) ELIJAH REPAIRED THE ALTAR – 1 Kings 18:30-32

a. the first reason to repair & build an altar is to spend time with Jesus

b. the second reason to repair & build an altar is because time is short – 2 Kings 2:3, 9-11 – Elijah represents the rapture of the church

RAPTURE – the rapture is the instantaneous, miraculous, mysterious disappearance of the church from earth…….

          -signs show us this Biblical event is close

Road signs show us we are on the right road

Road signs show us how much farther we have to go

CONTINUAL PRAYER IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER NOW

     (1.) CONTINUAL PRAYER IS NOT A LACK OF FAITH & IS BIBLICAL

ACTS 1:14…COL 4:2…MATTHEW 7:7-8

-Praying for anything always is not a lack of faith, but scriptural

-Remember:  when we pray bold sized prayers, they can affect us also

     (2.) CONTINUAL PRAYER IS PRAYING UNTIL A BREAKTHROUGH COMES – 1 KINGS 18:41-46

PUSH – pray until something happens

-Elijah had great confidence in the Lord because He can do anything – Heb 10:35-36

-Do not throw away your confidence by acquiring self confidence…….

-1 Kings 18:42 – Elijah prayed with his face between his knees

***this shows being dependent upon the Lord/relying on Jesus
