Genesis 17:1 – this is the first mention of El Shaddai in the Bible

*The name EL SHADDAI – gas 3 main meanings:

(1) EL SHADDAI IS KNOWN AS THE GOD OF HEAVEN

1 Main Issues:
1. How to get to heaven – this will only by knowing Jesus Christ and being saved

There are 3 WONDERS about heaven:

WONDER#1 – WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT
-WE ALL BETTER KNOW THAT WE ARE GOING TO HEAVEN – 1 JOHN 5:13

WONDER #2 – Breathing

WONDER#3 – HEALING
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal…

(2) EL SHADDAI IS THE ALL SUFFICIENT ONE OR THE ONE WHO SATISFIES – Psalm 103:1-5 & Ecclesiastes 2:10-17
-only El Shaddai and there is only partial satisfaction from earthly things

-EL – means God
-Shad – means breast – Shaddai comes from the root word SHAD

***As a baby is satisfied from receiving nourishment from a mom, we can be satisfied with Jesus

(3) EL SHADDAI IS THE MIGHTY GOD – Genesis 17:1-8, 15-23

***El Shaddai can do anything
