As The Days Of Noah
Matthew 2:37-39
v37 – Jesus compares His return to the days of Noah
v38 – the cares of this life and world can take us away from the Lord
***WE CAN LEARN 3 MAIN PRINCIPLES FROM THE DAYS OF NOAH THAT ARE ALSO HAPPENING IN OUR WORLD TODAY***
PRINCIPLE #1 — THE LOVE OF GOD WAS MANIFESTED – Genesis 6:1-9
-God loves everyone – in Noah’s day and today
-the love of God is always present even when you question Him
-the love of God never quits
-Romans 8:35-39
The love of god was manifested in 2 ways————DURING THE DAYS OF NOAH…………
*******THERE WAS A PREACHER
Noah – means rest – he rested in the Lord during difficult times
a. The Lord spoke to Noah – he preached the messages he received
b. Noah was a man of faith – he developed faith muscles
3 POINTS ABOUT FAITH
1. You have to develop your faith – Romans 10:17
2. Faith is based in the Lord
-there isn’t anything the Lord cannot – the placing of the animals on the ark
3. Faith is based on a promise – God’s Word
-the Lord gave Noah many promises
Noah walked by faith and not by sight because he stood on the promises of God
***Faith does not eliminate questions. Faith knows where to take them***
—You have to wait to receive many answers – most people do not like to wait—
THE LOVE OF GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN 2 WAYS. THERE IS A PREACHER AND THERE IS PATIENCE – 2 Peter 3:9
-the Lord is patient and waits for people to be saved
PRINCIPLE #2 – SIGNS WERE PRESENT – Genesis 6:1-2,6,11-13
vs11-12 – Corruption
v13 – violence
vs1,5 – Wickedness & Immorality
Methuselah – means when he is gone, it will be sent
-he lived longer than any other human being – 969 years
-we have received many signs today concerning the return of Jesus.
PRINCIPLE#3 – GOD’S GRACE IS AVAILABLE – Genesis 6:8-8, 8:1
-God’s grace is available in every generation
-God’s grace is available through an ark
-there was one door and ne window
-Gen 8:1 – Noah remembered that Noah was saved…….
