Don’t Give Up

-Life has its ups and downs

-We are living in the last days

-We are in the middle of a pandemic

-This has brought about anxiety, depression and fear………

                  ***WE WILL NOT GIVE UP AND NEVER GIVE UP***

            PRINCIPLES TO PRACTICE SO WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP

(1.) REMEMBER – EVERY MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD HAS ITS ORIGIN IN PRAYER – Colossians 4:2-4

***2 Things we need to remember:

                    1. GOD ONLY MOVES WHEN WE PRAY

-if we do no pray, the Lord does not move

                     2. WE NEED TO CONTINUALLY PRAY – 1 Kings 17:20-22

-pray always and even when things are calm

             (Enforce the victory)

-do not just pray when there is trouble

*******The Hebrew word PAGA is used for prayer & intercession in the OT…

               There are 2 main meetings for PAGA:

                       1. Paga means to meet or make contact with God…to reach

There are 3 Meetings we have when we pray:

1. We meet with the Lord

-we have access to God through Jesus and His blood

2. We meet with demons – James 5:16

-prayer live and fiery prayers

3. The Lord meets with people

-Paga means to light or come upon…

-as we pray healing and deliverance comes upon people & things change

                      2. Paga means to hit the bulls eye – Job 36:32

-this verse refers to the Lord directing lightning to hit the target

Two ways to pray and hit the bullseye:

     1. Pray the Word of God – Col 1:9-12

     2. Pray in tongues – Romans 8:26-28

-when you pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit prays through you the perfect will of God

(2) TO CONTINUE TO NEVER GIVE UP, DEVELOP A LIFE OF PRAISE -REV 7:9-10

-we are going to praise the Lord for what we don’t see because some day we are going to see it

                 2 PRAISE POINTS

          ***Our praise needs to be constant and unceasing – v10

-we should be praising the Lord no matter what is going on

         ***We are going to praise the Lord for what we don’t see because some day we are going to see it

-Praise the Lord before you receive the manifestation of your prayers.  See your prayers answered as done………..

(3.) TO CONTINUE NEVER TO GIVE UP, WE ARE GOING TO BUILD OUR CONFIDENCE – Prov 14:26 & Psalm 20:7

confidence – means to be certain…be bold…full trust…totally relying on someone

——-Confidence is based only on Jesus and nothing else

TO BUILD OUR CONFIDENCE WE MUST DO 2 THINGS:

             1. Our confidence is built up by knowing who God is

             2. Our confidence is built up when we capture who He says we are

Hebrews 10:35 – do not cast away your confidence

-we can cast or throw it away through self confidence…..

-self confidence will not work, but confidence in Jesus will accomplish everything
