          3 Types of Believers in the Last Days

1. SEPARATISTS – separate from the culture & isolate.  They want to remain unstained from society

2. CONFORMISTS – they become like the culture.  This eliminates any conflict

3. TRANSFORMISTS – they have been radically saved and invade the culture

Example:  Paul in Athens – Acts 17:14-34

                 SIGNS REVEALING THE RETURN OF THE LORD IS CLOSE

1. DECEPTION – Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 23-26

Take Heed – means to beware…watch out…it is a warning

2. DISSENSION – means conflict…strife…discord…vs6-8 and DEVASTATION

verse 7 – FAMINES

-millions of people starve in the world every day

verse 7 – PESTILENCE & DISEASE – Luke 21:11

pestilence – means an epidemic disease/a highly infectious disease

verse 7 – EARTHQUAKES

-the amount of earthquakes in the world have dramatically increased

verses 6,7 – WARS AND RUMORS OF WAR

wars – Iraq & Syria

Terrorism – Hams, Hezbollah and Iran – against Israel primarily

verse 7 – Nation against Nation – ethnos

-this is a race of people/a community of people

-this speaks of racial tension and strife/hatred/division

Ephesians 2:11-18 – The Ministry of Reconciliation

vs11-12 races of people will only come together through Jesus Christ

far off – the gentiles

vs14 – 15 – Jesus is our only peace

         -there was hatred between the Jewish people and the gentiles

         -enmity or hostility – v16

v14 – through Jesus the wall of hostility, division and hatred has been broken down

V16 – RECONCILIATION – means to thoroughly change from one condition to another

                 2 Kinds of Reconciliation

         1. Vertical Reconciliation – v16 – occurs at salvation – between man & God

         2. Horizontal Reconciliation – between man and man – all hatred and hostility are laid to rest

v17 – the result is peace

v18 – the result is direct access to the Lord
