***We are all fighting many giants right now

                  PRINCIPLES TO LEARN FROM DAVID & GOLIATH

                       THAT WE CAN APPLY TO TODAYS CULTURE

                                          AND VIRUS

(1.)  PRINCIPLE # ! – BE GOD FOCUSED AND NOT GIANT FOCUSED – vs7,11

-Do you have a God focus or a giant focus?

-David focused on the Lord and not on the giant

-Focus includes 2 things:

          1. Character – Jesus is Faithful

          2. Ability – Jesus is powerful, able and powerful…

(2.)  PRINCIPLE # 2 – REMEMBER YOUR PAST VICTORIES –

1 Samuel 17:34-37 and 45-47

-Your past victories prepare you  for your present victories

-David knew there would be more giants ahead – 5 stones

Saph – describes a violent storm that can sweep things away

Lahmi – means warrior/one who wages war…eater – will eat you alive

-Unbelief – the giants brought great unbelief to Israel (vs16,24)

-David ran toward the giant – vs48-51 – this when fear leaves and victory arrives

-David was the only one who ran toward the giant & goliath

REMEMBER TWO THINGS:

     1. The Majority Isn’t Always Right

     2. Giants Uncover or Reveal What Our Christianity Is Like

Goliath – means to reveal or uncover

-Evaluate your Christianity today……….
