Revelation

Verse 1 – after these things?  After the church age – Ephesians 2:11-22

-the next event after the church age will be the rapture of the church

-the church is not on earth after verse 1. Chapters 4-22 are all future..

-A Door – means an entrance or an opening – standing open – 2 Peter 3:9.  Heaven is always open for business……..

vs2-3 – throne – this is the key word in Revelation 4 – used 12 times in chapter 4

-used approximately 46 times in the book of Revelation

-Paul had a vision and saw the throne with Jesus sitting on it….

v6 – a sea of glass like crystal is Before The Throne……

-this represents total peace and calm

-Let Nothing Disturb Your Peace-

vs6-7 – Living Creatures

-these are angelic creations of God

-They are called Living Creatures because Jesus gives life and is alive

Full of eyes – they see everywhere and submit to the Lords’ instructions

v7 – lion – refers to strength

     – calf – refers to service – minister to people

     – man – refers to intelligence

     – eagle – refers to swiftness

vs 8-11 – The Living Creatures point to and worship Jesus Christ

Holy Holy Holy – refers to the Trinity & proclaims the holiness of Jesus Christ

-They praise the Lord for His:  Holiness…..Omnipotence…..Eternal

v11 – He is worthy – Only Jesus deserves all of the praise, glory and honor……..

                                  THE RAPTURE
