Storms Create Difficult Times

***Real storms create difficult situations

***World events create difficult situations

2 Timothy 3:1 – difficult tikes…terrible times…hard times

(1) DIFFICULT TIMES DO NOT CHANGE WHO GOD IS – Malachi 3:6

-the Lord never changes who He is and what His character is

-zero in on the Lord’s character when there is a storm

-our situations have nothing to do with who God is

-we need solid Bible doctrine in the last days

-sustained winds, rain  & storms do not change who God is and produce sustained revival

(2) DIFFICULT TIMES INCLUDE INCONVENIENCES – LUKE 14:25-33

-Real storms produce inconveniences – no lights…no AC…throw food out

-The Lord is showing us that Christianity is an inconvenient faith

(3) DIFFICULT TIMES SQUEEZE OUT THE “I WILLS” OF OUR CHRISTIANITY – Psalm 34:1-3

-there are times we will not d=feel anything and we must stand on the “I WILLS” of the precious Word of God

-David was captured by the Phillistines and he pretended to be mad.  They let David go  and he relied on the “I WILLS” of God and His Word to get him through his storm….

v1 – I will bless the lord at all times

v3 – I will magnify the Lord

(4) DIFFICULT TIMES INCREASE A SPIRIT OF APPRECIATION IN OUR LIVES – Luke 17:11-19

-there is always something to be thankful for

-being thankful is being obedient to the Word of God – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

(5) DIFFICULT TIMES PROVE GOD IS A PROVIDER – Deut 8:11-17/Ps 37:25

-the Lord provides for the Righteous – righteous in position and living

-it is the Lod’s nature and essence to provide
