-you receive the Holy Spirit
Anointed – Acts 10:38
-the anointing is the presence of the Lord & can increase
-the anointing of the Holy Spirit is for service
Two Points To Learn:
1. You can be saved, but not anointed – Romans 8:9-11
-if you do not serve, you are not anointed
2. We do not have to be perfect to be anointed – Romans 7:15
-not one believer is perfect
FILLED
***Being filled with the Holy Spirit is known by many names
Romans 12:1-3
Gal 5:16
John 15:1-10
Ephesians 5:18-21
***Being filled means to be controlled by the Holy Spirit
***Being filled is continual
-practicing the spiritual disciplines every day
***Being filled is a Command – Ephesians 5:18
—When it comes to being filled there are 2 responsibilities: Philippians 2:12-13
*The believers responsibility – to be with Jesus every day to grow
*The Lord’s responsibility – He promotes the desire in us to be with Him & fills us
Being filled with the Holy Spirit makes the difference between walking in the Spirit and walking in the flesh – Galatians 5:16
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not the same as being baptized in the Holy Spirit
