AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH

***Matthew 24:3-14,36-39

– What happened during the days of Noah will be how things are today in our culture

– Be careful of the “only be positive” message that is in todays culture

***Genesis 6:1-22 & 7:1,7 – The days of Noah are shared in Genesis

THE DAYS OF NOAH TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THE LORD

(1) He is the God of the Second Chance

– The Lord is patient and lenient

– The Lord is not mad at people or against people

– He is patient and gave Noah’s society 120 years to repent and receive Him…

– Noah’s presence as a believer held back the judgment of God. This represents the church being present to hold back the power of evil today – 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

(2) The days of Noah tell us something about the Lord that no matter what is going on in the world or our lives, The Lord remains the same…

– We must maintain a Biblical perspective of the Lord

– He is not rough and harsh, but good and kind……..and Faithful…

– He was sad and broken hearted during the days of Noah and He is that way today – Eph 4:30
