WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT

WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT

Fear and Faith have the same definition: believing what you don’t see will happen.

Difference: One is from Christ and one Is Not
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear is a tactic that the Enemy uses to hold us back and keep us from the opportunity to move forward.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour
Open to  Mark 4:35

Vs #36  Jesus was on the boat.
Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Vs #35 The Promise “Let us cross to the other side”

Jesus is telling us we will make it to our destination

For every believer, we are promised eternity, where there are no more storms

Vs #36  And other little boats were also with Him.

We have the support…. our brothers and sisters in Christ

Most people “feel alone”

The enemy would make us feel like that we are the only ones, we are alone and no one will understand….

We must not alienate ourselves from other believers

Jesus was asleep……on a pillow

The Storm had no grip on Him…

Jesus Resting was a picture of rest, most of us could not say that we are in a state of rest during a storm

They said “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
They were planning their funeral.

Jesus wants us to live.

VS 39  “Peace be still!”And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Jesus can bring peace to any storm

Vs #40 “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

They were fearful because they were so focused on the storm…

He wanted those men to have the faith
Faith… How do we get faith? Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith is focusing on Jesus and not the storm, He will get you to the other side.
