Paul An Apostle

 
Apostle – means one sent out on a mission with a commission
-called by a commandment of the Lord – v3
 
-we are servants of jesus Christ
 
Jesus – means Jehovah saves
Christ – means the Anointed One
-Messiah comes from this word speaking of the return of Jesus Christ
 
 
 
Qualities Of An Apostle
 
 
(1) AN APOSTLE IS USED BY THE LORD TO INCREASE THE FAITH OF GOD’S PEOPLE – v1
 
faith – means a total dependence upon God that becomes supernatural in its working
 
-Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God
 
-Faith is based on the Word and Jesus Christ
 
-faith is having a confidence and boldness in your spirit – Jesus and His word works…
 
 
BOLDNESS GOES FOR THE MAX EVERY TIME UNLESS THE LORD HAS SAID SOMETHING DIFFERENT……..
 
-the Bible says that there are levels of faith – faith, little faith, great faith  – Matt 6:30
 
-your level of faith determines what you receive

(2) AN APOSTLE IS USED BY GOD TO ENCOURAGE THE BELIEVER IN THEIR IDENTITY – v1 (chosen)
 
-you can have your identity stolen today/that can happen in Christianity also
 
 
 
How can a believer lose their identity?
 
1. by being position minded – it is what I do
 
2. by listening to the voice of the enemy
 
 
*DECLARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE*
 
 
 
(3) AN APOSTLE IS USED BY GOD TO TELL US THE TRUTH – v1
 
truth – means that which is genuine, real and authentic
 
-truth is the Word of God
-truth was deposited in Paul –  committed is a banking term speaking of a deposit
 
 
1. The Word of God talks about God
 
a. v2 – God cannot lie
 
 
 b. His timing is always perfect – v3
-these are times determined by God Himself
-surrender to the Lord
 
 
 
2. The Word of God leads us in 2 places
 
a. it leads us to godliness – means holiness, reverence and devotion to God
-the standard of holiness is found in the Word of God
 
 
b. it leads to a place of hope
 
-hope – means expectation
 

-we have hope that there is life after death
