Orlando

Our hearts and prayers go out to the city of Orlando and those affected by the terrorist attack

(1) THE LORD IS ON THE THRONE – Isaiah 6:1-3

*Israel was in a state of confusion and trouble just like our nation is today…

*Jesus Christ is always in control

*If God is in control, why were people killed
-Because of sin. God had nothing to do with this terrorist attack

Why doesn’t the Lord do something – He did – the Incarnation
– He will – He is returning soon

(2) EVIL EXISTS AND IS REAL – 2 Kings 6:15-19

*We are at war – it is an invisible war

*The terrorist attack in Orlando is demonic

*We are not fighting against people, but powers of hell

*When you cannot understand or make any sense of a situation, it is demonic. These are
*DARK MOMENTS”…

*Jesus encountered demons and we will also…

(3) THE PRINCIPLE OF HONOR MUST BE PRACTICED – 1 Peter 2:17

…………..HONOR ALL PEOPLE……………

Honor – means to attach high importance to; to highly respect; to give value or worth to someone; to regard favorably

*We honor all people by understanding God created all people and all people are related concerning creation because God created all people…

*We are not to put down people or tear them apart…or be mean to anyone

*We are to be kind and loving and gracious

2 THINGS:

1. Christians reached out to gays after this attack. It was good…

2. Some FB posts were not good and we are on to love people…

REMEMBER:
*Relaying Bible Truth to people is not being hateful or hate speech

*Colossians 4:6

(4) DEATH CAN COME AT ANY TIME – James 4:14

– Death will come to everyone…No one will escape

– Luke 13:1-5 – we never know when, how or where we will die….

– The most important thing in life is being saved

(5) OUR NATION NEEDS THE LORD – Jeremiah 33:1-3

Call to me – means to cry out; to shout; to speak out; to call outlaid

Why call out to Jesus?

1. Our country is away from the lord

2. The church needs to be stirred

3. We live in desperate times and desperate times cry out for desperate measures
– God limits Himself to our prayers…
